We are delighted to announce the 72nd Scottish Universities’ International Summer School (SUISS), which will run from the
8^th July – 17^th August 2019 at the University of Edinburgh.

The following courses can be taken for university credits, and sought at undergraduate and postgraduate level: Creative
Writing; Modernism, Contemporary Literature and Scottish Literature; and ContemporaryBritish
and Irish Theatre and Performance.

The courses are supplemented by a wide-ranging social and cultural programme, and will include readings by contemporary Scottish authors. Edinburgh is the first UNESCO World City of Literature and is home to highly acclaimed authors such as JK Rowling, Ian Rankin, Irvine Welsh and Alexander McCall Smith to name just a few.
